Substance Sensitivities
Multiple substance sensitivities are given various names. Some are: chemical sensitivity, ecologic sensitivity, ecologic illness, toxic response syndrome, sick building syndrome, and total immune disorder syndrome.
The complaints associated with these names include: depression, irritability, mood swings, inability to concentrate or think clearly, fatigue, digestive disorders, muscle and joint pain, runny nose, rashes, headaches, and other numerous physical discomforts.
Substance sensitivities are far more common than most people think and they are increasing at a frightening rate of frequency. One of the more obvious reasons for this increase is the daily exposure that we have to chemicals, toxins, and environmental pollutants. Every day we are exposed to more and more chemicals and substances that our immune systems were not designed to deal with. Daily, we inhale and ingest chemicals whose names we can't even pronounce and yet, we expect our bodies to determine if they are healthy for us.
Our food sources are no longer as pure as they used to be. Cattle and poultry are injected with steroids and hormones to increase their weight and size. Our grains, fruits and vegetables are sprayed with pesticides and other chemicals to ensure a large crop.
Our work environments are filled with chemicals, electro-magnetic fields, radon, asbestos, and low-grade PVC, to name a few. And during the same time that these indoor pollutants have increased, the buildings we work and live in have been made more airtight to conserve fuel. Unfortunately, this airtight atmosphere also traps more chemicals and molds and does not allow for any fresh air to circulate.
What is the Rain Barrel Effect?
Experts who have studied substance sensitivities suggest that the increase in these symptoms is due to the "rain barrel effect." The immune system is continually processing information to determine the safety of certain foods and chemicals and continually adjusting its internal environment in order to maintain homeostasis in relationship to those substances. Sometimes the rain barrel becomes full and the immune system can no longer continue to adjust to the chemicals to which it is being exposed. The rain barrel overflows and symptoms appear. It is also felt that prolonged stress or a single episode of trauma, such as a serious illness or automobile accident may trigger the effect.

What Does the Allergy Antidotes System Do?
It does not diagnose or treat psychological or physical symptoms or conditions. It does treat the energy imbalances within the body's meridian energy system. What Can I Expect in a Session?
A session does not involve needles, undressing, or any other uncomfortable or inconvenient procedure.
A session begins with you answering some basic questions about what you are experiencing and discussing any medications or supplements that you take on a regular basis. Precision muscle testing is used to determine whether or not a particular substance is causing a disturbance to your body's meridian energy system. Any existing imbalance is corrected by one of several painless, noninvasive methods. The method used is the one that your body indicates would be the most appropriate for you at the time.
